Mossoró, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, is a city located near Natal and Fortaleza. In terms of territorial expansion, it is the largest municipality in the state. The city has around 300 thousand inhabitants and its economy is notable for irrigated fruit harvesting, saline industry and extraction industry. The municipality is the largest salt producer in the country and the largest land-based oil producer.

After observing its growing development, the Ornatus Group performed an economic feasibiltiy study and includes the city in the list of expansions for 2018. "What our analysis showed was in fact a confirmation that the potential in Mossoró may take in a Morana brand operation. This is why, in 2018, we hope to build a store in the city, with an investor that understands the needs of the operation of a brand this size.
